About and Contact

I started IRONScale Labs because finding useful information about a power supply can take more effort than it should. Tests may be on one website, internal photos elsewhere, and component information buried in forum threads. Rather than searching for each item separately, I began building an archive to bring them together. I develop the site on my own.

What is on this site?

PSU databaseI bring test results, specifications and internal component information for different models together in one place. I also try to include sources for the information I find.
ReviewsI open some products myself to examine their internal design, components and PCB layout. I also share the measurements my equipment allows, together with the results.
Comparisons and tier listThe site includes comparison tools and a tier list to make differences between models easier to understand. They do not replace direct test results.

How do I assess power supplies?

What matters to me is how a power supply actually works, more than its brand or the specifications printed on the box. Whenever possible, I examine voltage regulation, ripple, transient response, protections, the platform and the components used.

It is not always possible to find every detail for every model. I take care not to present an untested feature as tested, or confuse different wattages and hardware revisions. If you notice an error or missing information in a record, please let me know. The sources I use are listed in the Sources section.
